Planning a trip to Segesta

From Palermo, three trains a day make the 1 3/4- to 2-hour journey to Segesta. The station is about 1km (1/2 mile) from the park entrance. It’s more convenient to reach Segesta by bus; Tarantola (tel. 0924/31020) operates three buses daily, departing from Viale Lazio next to Palermo’s central train station (trip time: 1 3/4 hr.). By car, take the autostrada (A29) running between Palermo and Trapani. The exit at Segesta is clearly marked. The journey takes a little under an hour from Palermo.
