Aston Group's funky budget concept is aimed at savvy travelers seeking cheerfulness in addition to excellent-value rooms. The group's properties are positioned in strategic locations across Southeast Asia; in Bali you'll find them at party hub Kuta Square, trendy Petitenget, and smack bang on central Seminyak's pulsating "bar street," just a short stroll from the surf and beach. This Bali flagship keeps to Fave's "Fun, Fresh and Friendly" concept, which suits its Seminyak surrounds. Fuchsia is emblazoned within the rooms and across the exteriors of the five-floor hotel. There's a strong emphasis on partying, although note that there's a distinctly small pool (guests aren't here for the tanning). Positioned within earshot of nearby bars and nightspots, Superior Rooms at the front can be noisy; if you want quiet, opt for the rooms in the rear accommodation block off the street. Although clean, smart, and functional, Standard and Superior rooms err on the small size. With their low pricing, they also lack some basic amenities. Try the two Junior Suites and the Executive Suite on the upper levels for good-value spaciousness with a living/dining area—ideal for friends or families. Fave's quite stylish restaurant and lounge bar, Lime, extends from a front bar terrace facing the street to a sociable bench-table dining concept, which tumbles back inside to the pool area and offers decent all-day fare. The hotel prides itself on being gay-friendly, which ties right in with Seminyak's good-time leanings.
