Cedar Grove Lodge
This property in itself is nothing special, but the location is unbelievable. The 1920s-era motel, with fairly standard rooms, is right alongside the Kings River, and the only place to sleep with a roof over your head in the general vicinity. I like the patio rooms, with queen beds, more than the standards, with doubles, because they are not only roomier, but the private patio are perfect places to kick back after a day on the nearby trails. The lodge's small size makes for a less busy area than some of the other villages in the park, but it has all of the necessary facilities.
