Hotel Bécquer

Hotel Bécquer ticks all the boxes very nicely for a good value, mid-priced hotel. It’s family run and that shows—the service is helpful and friendly, and the rooms well- equipped and regularly updated. A particular strong point is the hotel's accessibility. It's one of a surprisingly small number of hotels in or close to the historic center that you can drive right up to, and it's easy to navigate to in a town that is full of confusing one-way systems and narrow pedestrianized streets. Unlike many hotels in this price category, it also has its own garage (parking costs extra). It's well located for sightseeing, within easy walking distance from the main tourist sites and the shops. Rooms are quite plain, but spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, minibar, and free tea and coffee, which is something I'm always grateful for after a long day walking around monuments and museums. There's also a small rooftop bar and swimming pool.
