Recent exhibitions include the paintings of and video documentaries starring painter Liu Xiaodong, and the work of Harbin oil painter Qiu Xiaofei. In early 2014, the museum curated a video exhibition from the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art; check the website frequently, as exhibitions rotate as quickly as every 10 days. It curates its own exhibits and also hosts traveling exhibitions. It also has an education and research component aimed at promoting art and art appreciation to the public.
