Those who love Din Tai Fung's Xiaolongbao will be thrilled to know there's another location tucked away on the 3rd floor of the new high-end IAPM mall. This Taiwanese-owned restaurant chain seems to be growing at warp speed with new locations popping up all over Shanghai, but surely that will not affect wait times as customers will still overflow at lunch and dinner hours. The classic pork soup dumplings at 68 rmb for a basket of 10 are a can't miss. Other favorites include the sesame noodles (dan dan main), any of the stir-fried fresh green vegetables, the hot-and-sour soup, the shrimp-fried rice, the spicy wontons in a bowl, and any of the sago-and-fruit desserts. You can spend an afternoon shopping, stop in at the Apple Store, and finish up here for soup dumplings. A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
