Sifnos has always been sophisticated, but quietly so, and this swank retreat on a hillside above Vathy brings a big dose of glossy glamour to the island. Whether this is a welcome change depends on your taste and budget, but rooms and suites are lavish, many with private pools; indoor/outdoor restaurants are excellent; and, best of all, the beautiful old seaside village of Vathy is just beyond the gates.
