Iapetos Village
This lovely complex of studios and two-floor apartments is set back from the port. Living areas are very spacious, and some units have full kitchens, including ovens and full-size fridges. They're simple in looks, but quite well-maintained and very comfortable. The gorgeous, covered outdoor swimming pool in the center of the complex (the only hotel pool in Simi) has beach chairs and umbrellas, and a circular bar livens up the spacious, central flagstone courtyard with palm trees. The staff is terrific: friendly, helpful and good cooks (the breakfasts here are first rate). Though it doesn't have water views, we count this as the top hotel in Simi.
