One of Simi’s oldest tavernas, Giorgios looks the part, but it’s still one of the best in town. It’s also easy to find—beside Horio’s main square, right at the top of the steps from Yialos. Don't be put off by the "seen better days" appearance of it signpost (marked Taverna Giorgio & Maria). The walls inside are plastered with old pictures, but that doesn't mean it's not popular today (we're guessing they ran out of space for new ones). The food is good and the menu is broad, from fresh fish and lobster to kebabs, chops, rabbit, lamb, and beef.
