Footprints is another cheap and cheerful option in Little India, Singapore’s most authentic and colorful neighborhood chock full of affordable restaurants and shopping, not to mention ornate South Indian temples. Little India is also within walking distance of lots of other sights. Co-ed and female-only dorms, as well as private rooms for families of six to eight are air-conditioned; shared bathrooms have hot showers. There’s a library and 42-inch TV in the common living area, plus a shared kitchenette, mini-mart to buy snacks and drinks (including ice cold beers), and an outdoor terrace. Payment is by cash only.
