Hotel Denise
Named for the matriarch who once ran the hotel, the Denise is now in the capable hands of her daughter Maria and son Spyros. They've inherited their mother's warmth and sure hand with guest: both Maria and Spyros are adept at giving straightforward, honest advice about the sightseeing and dining options of the area and, just as importantly, they make their clients each feel like a VIP. When you arrive, they'll proudly take you to the balcony of your room (all rooms have balconies) so you can see the stunning sea, town and surrounding mountain views. The view, quite frankly, is more impressive than the rooms, which have standard furnishings. That being said, they are bright, spacious and meticulously well-maintained. We also like the pool here: it's a perfect retreat after a day spent on the beach or sightseeing.
