Depot Park Museum
Just north of Sonoma Plaza, the Sonoma Valley Historical Society’s often-overlooked museum is full of intriguing artifacts, such as a painted stage curtain from the plaza’s long-gone Union Hotel, complete with era ads. The staffers in charge are generous and excited; ask to hear the 1850s Swiss music box and they’ll tune it up for you. Not all exhibits are labeled, so ask questions—they love telling tales here.
