The ride to Sorrento from Naples takes about 1 hour and costs 10€; from Rome it is about 3 1/2 hours and costs 16€. By car, take the exit for CASTELLAMMARE DI STABIA off autostrada A3, and then follow signs for VICO EQUENSE, META DI SORRENTO, and SORRENTO; these will lead you to route SS 145, the Sorrento peninsula's coastal road.
