During the first week of April, the Pinehurst Harness Track Matinee Races are held at the Pinehurst Harness Mile Track, 200 Beulah Hill Rd. S. (tel. 910/295-4446). The Carolina Carriage Classic in the Pines is presented at the end of April and in early May at the Pinehurst Harness Mile Track, Route 5, Pinehurst (tel. 910/295-4446). This is one of the major driving events in the Southeast, with three rings of competition -- dressage, pleasure classes, and obstacles.
