Swimming in Spartanburg, SC

The Spartanburg Swim Center, 447 S. Church St. (tel. 864/596-3900), offers a heated indoor pool with eight lanes for lap swimming and a separate shallow section for water aerobics, water-therapy classes, and water walking. Lap sessions cost $1 per person. Adult swims are Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 8pm and Friday 7:30am to 3pm. Children's sessions are Monday to Thursday 6:30am to 8pm and Saturday 3 to 5pm. Water aerobics are $2.50 per person. Times vary, so call ahead. The center hours are 7:30am to 8:30pm Monday to Thursday, 2:30 to 5pm Saturday, and Sunday April to September 3 to 5pm.
