An Creagán Visitors’ Centre
Beautifully designed to fit in with the craggy countryside around, this modern center is an excellent place to get your bearings when you first arrive in the Sperrins. A small gallery has an interactive exhibit about the mountains and the area; a few Bronze Age artifacts excavated from nearby sites are also on display. The helpful staff will give you all the information you need on walking and cycling routes, as well as maps and bicycle rentals (bikes can be rented for roughly £10 per day, £7 per half day, or £35 per week). There’s a restaurant and craft shop, and the center even owns a few self-catering properties if you’re interested in staying longer. (Prices start at about £120 for a one-bedroom cottage in the low season, £180 in the high season.)
