Quaint and romantic, in a tiny house reminiscent of something you'd find after getting lost on a cobblestoned European street, Collage is aptly named for its multifaceted menu of high-end fare. If you want a "nice dinner" to celebrate a special occasion, this place would be it. The tablecloths, candles, and flowers certainly help set a relaxed, romantic mood, but the food can make you want to disrupt that calm with inappropriately ecstatic cries. A little bit old school, but with some modern American touches, the menu has several consistent favorites, including a divine wheel of brie baked in phyllo and served with a caramelized onion and apple chutney, and a datil pepper carrot bisque with Havarti cheese and bacon that should not be missed. Homemade lobster ravioli is magnificent, pillowy and overloaded with fresh chunks of lobster. There are also fine cuts of meat and daily specials. The wine list is impressive, and service is exceptional, thanks to an experienced staff that genuinely seems to know and love food.
