Start by taking a walk along the promenade to watch the sunset. Around place Louis-XIV, you’ll find a hotbed of activity at the cafes and bars. Then continue towards rue de la République, which is packed with places to eat and drink. Look out for the lively Pub du Corsaire at 16 rue de la République (tel. 05-59-26-10-74), which carries on serving drinks daily from 5pm to 2am both in its cozy galleon-like interior and on its buzzing terrace. Come between 6:30pm and 10:30pm for a delicious spread of tapas to go with your cocktails and a sophisticated jazzy soundtrack.
