Ostrea Hotel
This small, old-fashioned hotel by the harbor is a restful and comfortable place to stay. Occupying a renovated stone building, it opened in 1998 and is run by the Kralj family, who also own the nearby Kapetanova Kuća restaurant. The 13 rooms and one apartment are individually furnished. Although the units are quite basic (some are rather small), the bathrooms are shiny-new and well-equipped. It’s worth asking for a superior room, which costs a little more but comes with a sea view. In addition to the nearby restaurant (a two-minute walk away), there’s a small breakfast room and bar for hotel guests on-site. The hotel’s name is the Latin word for oyster, the basis of the local economy.
