Stowe has an overabundance of fancy schmancy restaurants, but make not mistake: it does more humbly-priced fare quite well, too. Or at least it does at this wittily-named pizzaria where customers are encouraged to create their own "masterpieces", slathering individually-sized rounds of dough with either barbecue sauce, pesto, classic red sauce or a white, bechamel-style sauce. On top of that the restaurant offers an entire pantry's worth of farm-fresh ingredients as toppings, from dots of locally-made goat's cheese to wild mushrooms, quality sausages and every veggie you can name.

Despite its name, pizza is just the start of what's on offer at Pie-casso. Its kitchen also sends out tasty and unusual salads, classic sandwiches, a number of other Italian entrees and some truly sinful desserts. The bar is a major hook up scene come 9pm or so, and hosts weekly events like trivia nights, live music concerts and even stand-up comedy.
