The hulking, chain-like structure that is Hótel Stykkishólmur feels somewhat out of place in the uber-authentic village that is Stykkishólmur, yet it’s still the most reliable hotel in town, particularly outside of high season. The contemporary style in the lobby fizzles out into a watered-down, characterless vibe as you move into the spacious guest rooms.
