The Teatro Las Ruinas contains this small gallery of El Salvadoran art, including 31 abstract; Impressionist; and realist, post-1950 paintings, created exclusively by El Salvadoran artists -- including Suchitoto's own single-name artist "Chaney," as well as Negra Alvarez and Augusto Crespin. Also included in the gallery is a traditional Greek-style bust of Suchitoto arts promoter and once-world-famous cinematographer, Alejandro Cotto. You can visit the gallery year-round by calling and making an appointment.
