Ruean Thai Restaurant & Bar
Many of the local restaurants in and around town are tin-roof, open-air food stalls. If you want a meal where you can linger at the table, the Ruean Thai Hotel’s restaurant is a comfortable place and does local food well (try the green curry made with coconut milk, garlic prawns, or cashew chicken). Stay away, however, from international fare like spaghetti and cheese pizza—those dishes are given weird Asian interpretations and dosed with too much sugar. Note: there is additional seating by the pool and garden if the weather isn’t too hot.
