A Resort on Toberua Island

Reached by a 1-hour taxi-and-boat trip from Suva via the Rewa River delta, Toberua is a tiny, 1.6-hectare (4-acre) sand islet on the reefs off eastern Viti Levu. Palm-dotted and beach-encircled, it's too flat to draw moisture from the sky, thus isn't in the "rain belt" created by the mountains behind Suva. It is totally occupied by one resort.
