Sydney’s most interactive museum is also one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. At press time, the museum was undergoing a renovation to create a new gallery for international exhibitions, a new public forecourt, a cafe, and gift shop. Inside, you’ll find displays, sound effects, and gadgets relating to the sciences, transportation, human achievement, decorative art, and social history, much of it with relevance or connections to Sydney and Australian exploration. You could easily spend 2 or 3 hours discovering everything here. There’s plenty to keep kids interested as well.
