This is one of my favorite Sydney hotels. It’s plush and luxurious, but like all really great hotels, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed rather than stuffy. It has a clubby European atmosphere, but it’s warm and welcoming. There’s even a mascot “bear” called Morris who pops up in the most unexpected places (and can be with you for company, on request). The other wonderful thing is the location, a short walk from Circular Quay and the Opera House, and just across the road from the Royal Botanic Gardens. Rooms are large and luxurious, with good-size marble bathrooms. Most rooms have a small balcony. The rooms on the east side of the hotel have the best views across the Botanic Gardens. Most rooms are accessible to wheelchairs.
