Assembled by the Weyerhaeuser Company in 1989 to honor trade relations with Pacific Rim nations, this bonsai collection 8 miles north of Tacoma includes more than 50 miniature trees from Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, and Canada. With trees that have been in training for decades, this is the most impressive public bonsai collection in the state. Free guided tours are given on Sunday at noon.
