There are no fine-dining restaurants in town, with most places serving grilled beef and the local delicacy, kid goat. Main courses cost on average $7 (£4.75) without wine. The building is made from traditional adobe and stone, with large windows that give a commanding view of the valley. Rancho de Félix, at avenidas Belgrano and Presidente Perón (tel. 3867/421022), is a cavernous building with cane ceilings. The menu includes locros, humitas, and empanadas. Parrilla Don Pepito, Av. Presidente Perón 193 (tel. 3867/421764; www.donpepitodetafi.com.ar), has llama casserole on the board, as well as such fish as pejerrey and dorada. Bar El Almacen, at Avenida Presidente Perón and Gobernador Critto (tel. 3867/420129), is a pleasant cream-colored bar and restaurant, serving kid goat and pastas.
