This little oasis along the Burmese border verges on the surreal, but the food is delicious. Ponds overgrown with lush vegetation surround an enormous central thatched pavilion. Be sure to go to the bathroom, even if you don't have to; these water closets are large grottos with flushable fixtures at odd heights and stalactites hanging from the ceiling. The menu surveys the whole country, with an emphasis on curries and authentic spice. Portions are small, so order up a few dishes, and ask about the daily specials.
