Easton
Easton's main shopping is along Washington, Dover, and Harrison streets. You'll find a number of galleries, as well as antiques, clothing, and gift shops. Hours are generally daily from 9am to 5pm; some shops close midweek and have shorter hours in winter.
St. Michaels
Shopping is a major diversion in St. Michaels. The best shops are concentrated along Talbot Street. They're usually open from 10am to 6pm on weekends and most weekdays, with shorter hours in winter. Look for the St. Michaels/Tilghman Island visitors' guide at the visitor center, at North Talbot and Mill streets. There's a parking lot at that corner as well.
Handcrafted items are a cinch to find at Artiste Locale, 112 N. Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-6580); or A Wish Called Wanda, 110 N. Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-6763).
The town is full of fun gift shops. Stop at Calico Gallery, 212 Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-5370; www.calicogallery.net), for local watercolors or toys; Keepers, 300 S. Talbot St. (tel. 800/549-1872 or 410/745-6388), for Orvis clothes or antique waterfowl decoys. If you prefer something nautical, stop at the Sign of the Whale, 208 S. Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-0680), for something witty or elegant. Like your treasures a little older? Among the town's antiques shops, look for Corner Antiques, 116 N. Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-5589), Antiques on Talbot, 211 N. Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-5208); or Oyster House Antiques, 101 N. Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-4044).
For the palate, get some locally produced wines at St. Michael's Winery, 605 S. Talbot St. (tel. 410/745-0808; www.st-michaels-winery.com), and chocolates at the St. Michaels Candy and Gifts, 216 S. Talbot St. (tel. 888/570-6050 or 410/745-6060; www.candyisdandy.com).
Oxford
Oxford shops are usually open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm; many close midweek when the town's pretty quiet. Hours may be cut back in winter, too.
