The pier for coming ashore in Tallinn is 0.5 to 1 mile (1-2km) from the city center, depending on where the ship berths, and you can walk or take a taxi, which you'll find waiting at the pier. However, some ships dock in Muuga, which is about a 35-minute drive from Tallinn. You can explore Old Town on foot.
