Chef/owner Karen Todd offers a surprising range of options at this European-style café and bakery in the center of town. The place bakes its own bread, of course, and also uses local, seasonal produce in dishes like bison burgers, smoked fish, organic kale salad with grapes and hazelnuts, and a beet and goat cheese salad that's worth a stop on its own. Monday night is East Indian night, and Wednesday brings tapas and wine flights. This is a small, family-friendly spot with a shaded patio with a fountain, kids' menu, and enclosed play area in back. For Sunday brunch, I love a big bowl of the homemade granola.
