Five local artists were commissioned to create murals for the Art+, and their vibrant, often quirky works set the cultured yet fun tone at this relatively new hotel (it opened in 2009). They’re just the beginning of the special touches here, which range from free taxis back to the airport (during certain months and for those who stay a minimum of 3 nights), to free parking to nightly, free happy hours in the hotel’s book-filled lounge. We also love the snazzy sun deck, a wonderful place to gather with friends. Most guest rooms are in the back of the building, away from Ben Yehuda Street noise; all have up-to-the-minute amenities and are bright white, but with brilliant splashes of color—a blood red chair here, a lime green pillow there—that give them real elan. The only downside to these rooms is that the cheapest ones are just 110-square-feet, so they can feel a bit cramped. The location is very central and only steps away from bus and sherut lines that whisk you all over town. The staff is attentive.
