Located in a neighborhood of businesses and factories on the Tel Aviv-Jaffa border, this historic and tranquil oasis is operated by a congregation of Christians and Messianic Jews, but guests of all persuasions are welcome. A no-smoking building, the guesthouse offers basic, well-maintained, air-conditioned private rooms with bathrooms (some on the second floor have balconies) as well as beds in dorm rooms. Street-facing rooms will be noisy, and many rooms are up several steep flights of stairs; those with disabilities should ask for a ground floor room. The staff is helpful, and despite an 11pm curfew, arrangements can be made for both late night or early morning comings and departures. Breakfast in the lush garden is a special pleasure.
