This is a bland, 1970s style hotel, renovated last in 1997 and overdue for another updating. However, for a central location across the road from the beach, and for the price (especially on discounter websites), it’s an affordable option in a very expensive part of town. Guest rooms are basic and there are no amenities like a pool or fitness room, but across the street near Atarim Square, a somewhat hidden outdoor staircase takes you down to a good beach beside the Herod’s Hotel. Service is not great, except if you speak Russian, as many of the staff are from that part of the world. A definite second or third choice hotel (unless you get a great deal).
