The Renaissance is one of the very few hotels that offers direct access to a prime section of beach, with no streets to cross. That’s the good news. Unfortunately, except for executive rooms, most guest rooms here are in serious need of a renovation (like the major renovations of public areas in 2013 that brightened the hotel’s overall ambiance). We’d rank it as a second choice in this area, to be looked at if the Sheraton or Dan Tel Aviv are booked up, as it does offer lovely views of the sea from rooms on the hotel’s southern side. Plus, there’s an indoor pool for winter swimming and summer days when the sea is hazardous because of jellyfish. All rooms have balconies and room-only rates are available.
