Wine Spectator magazine named Penfolds' iconic 1990 vintage Grange the "Best Red Wine in the World." It all started when Dr. Christopher Rawson planted a few vines in 1844 to make wine for his patients. The winery now houses the largest oak barrel maturation cellars in the Southern Hemisphere. Penfolds also owns other wineries all over the country. Open daily, including public holidays, 10am to 5pm; closed New Year's Day, Christmas Day, and Good Friday.
