Though parts of the building date from the 13th century, when it was a cardinal's mansion, today this gracious inn is loaded with modern comforts. Carefully tended by the same family for five generations, rooms in these pleasant lodgings are swathed in warm colors and period prints, in keeping with the building's history. Comfort ranges from smaller rooms with views of the cobbled streets to larger "luxury" rooms with views of the vineyards and marble bathrooms. All guests have equal access to the pool and the private garden, as well as to the dining room, which serves elegant regional classics (fixed-price menus are 19€ to 45€, with half-board rates available for hotel guests). The restaurant offers wine from the adjacent Clos de Sarpe, the hotel's very own vineyard.
