This very simple kibbutz resort is a great base for exploring the region as it boasts the best and absolutely most beautiful beach on the lake. In fact, that may be its downfall as a lodging as you’ll be tempted to stay put, as the hours warm waters, with their splendid views of the Galilee hills and the Golan Heights. The kibbutz is home to its own famous (separate) restaurant specializing in fresh St. Peter’s fish—a great place to dine while watching twilight descend over the Sea. Accommodations range from simple 5 person family bungalow units to basic, modern motel-style doubles, all with fridge or kitchenettes and set amid pleasant gardens. There’s an in house minimart on the grounds, and a hearty kibbutz-style dinner buffet available with advance reservation or on half-board.
