Just south of town, this state park encompasses all of Nehalem Spit and provides access to both Manzanita beach and Nehalem Bay. The park includes a campground and has a 1.75-mile paved bike path, a horse camp, and horse trails. At the south end of the spit, more than 50 harbor seals can often be seen basking on the beach. To reach the seal area requires a 5-mile round-trip hike.
