Old-fashioned Yanaka neighborhood, home to many temples and the Yanaka Ginza shopping street, is part of what makes a stay here special. It's also within a 20-minute walk from Ueno Park with its many museums, and the Keisei Skyliner from Narita Airport stops at nearby Nippori Station. Though the inn itself is a three-storied concrete building, it manages to convey a sense of place with its spotless Japanese-style tatami rooms and a complimentary map that introduces the area and how to navigate it. There's free coffee in the lobby, as well as two computers guests can use for free. It's the sister inn of nearby Katsutaro Ryokan, which is older and slightly cheaper but isn't nearly as nice.
