This is a peaceful boutique hotel with a zen ambiance, just steps from the Financial District. The suites, ranging from 365 to 560 square feet (plus one loft-style penthouse), feature soothing fountains, iPad docking stations, yoga mats, and waffle-fabric housecoats (in place of the usual terry cloth robes).  The Asian-inspired decor includes  white Egyptian cotton linen duvets, dark wood, and large windows. The washer/dryer, kitchenette with stove tops, and coffeemaker make this an attractive option for longer stays in the heart of downtown. The hotel has a very small fitness room, and if you need to mellow out more, it has its own Asian-inspired Shizen Spa. Off the lobby, Eight is a wine bar where continental breakfast and dinner are served; it features a selection of contemporary and vintage wines.
