This 18-story hotel, beside the Toronto Eaton Centre, has an excellent location and some nifty on-site amenities. Let's start with the lobby which has a circular fireplace where guests can relax, have a drink, use free Wi-Fi, and check out the "Five, Ten, Twenty" menu (for the time it takes to prepare each dish). To the side is the Trois Bistro restaurant/bar, which has a beautiful skylight, and a great view of historic Trinity Church next door. Dating back to 1847, it's Toronto's oldest church. During the mornings the bar here converts into a breakfast buffet. Rooms are a generous size and stocked with welcome amenities, such as a coffeemaker, cozy down comforters, and lots of power outlets. Junior suites on corners offer lots of light. For an additional $40, step up to a concierge room with extra privileges such as use of the executive lounge on the lower level. Located in a former steak house, it has a pub-like look, and features a small business center, bar service, snacks, and full breakfast (Sun–Fri to noon). The 18th floor has a 24-hour fitness room, a pool, and spa that is open until 11pm; it offers a great city view and fresh apples to munch on. The hotel's business center offers three computer terminals inside the gift shop on the second floor ($4 for 15-minute minimum).
