This brand new spot located near Little Portugal hadn't even officially opened when it became a hot spot for celebrity sightings thanks to private parties for Toronto's film festival TIFF, including the "Twelve Years a Slave" premiere party with Brad Pitt. There's a casual, intimate atmosphere in this 100-year-old building with its exposed brick walls and tin ceiling. As you enter there's a small six-seat bar, then seating for 80 inside and 45 on the street-side patio. Most coveted is the Chef's table for 10, and private dining is possible for 10 to 12 in the cozy wine cellar. Chef Robbie Hojilla's Filipino heritage inspires some of the dishes, such as the very popular chicken Adobo with eggplant, garlic, brussel sprouts, and Quinoa. The elegantly presented dishes emphasize fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Sunday brunch is especially popular.
