Planning a trip to Traben-Trarbach

For tourist information, contact the Kurverwaltung und Verkehrsamt, Bahnhof 5, Traben (tel. 06541/83980; www.traben-trarbach.de), open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm; from May to October, additional hours are Saturday 11am to 3pm.

Traveling the Roman Way -- A quick look at the map will show that an ideal way of traveling between Traben-Trarbach and its sister Bernkastel-Kues just may be by your own two feet. The two towns lie within a 2- to 3-hour walk over the hill along a marked path that offers fine views of the area. A glass of Riesling in either town at the end of your hike makes for a great reward.
