Step out of this 1930s Norman-style three-star hotel and you’re right on the beach. The friendly Flaubert is old-fashioned seaside charm at its best, with traditionally furnished rooms, some with exposed ceiling beams and New England-style wood paneling. Many of the rooms have balconies overlooking the beach, and it’s worth the extra few euros to get a sea view. If you’re a light sleeper, you might not want a room facing the street as it can get noisy in high season.
