Set on the edge of Tucson Mountain Park, this sprawling resort on the far west side of Tucson is a golfers favorite but also makes a good choice for families and outdoorsy types. Kids will love the family-friendly pool area, while hikers and mountain bikers have access to miles of trails through the adjacent park. With its many restaurants, this resort is designed to be a destination—you could very easily spend several days just hanging out and never venturing out to see Tucson’s sights. Unfortunately, low-flying fighter jets from nearby Davis-Monthan Air Force Base often disturb the tranquility of the resort. Then again, you can always retreat to the plush bed in your room.
