Planning a trip to Tudela

Getting There -- Tudela lies on the southern rail line south of Pamplona. Two RENFE (tel. 90-224-02-02; www.renfe.es) trains pass through here, one connecting La Rioja to Zaragoza via Castejón de Ebro. The other train links Zaragoza with Vitoria-Gasteiz via Pamplona. Schedules are subject to change, so call ahead.

Conda buses (tel. 94-882-03-42; www.condasa.com) go to Tudela from Pamplona at the rate of 8 to 10 buses per day (trip time: 1 1/4 hr.).

Take A-15 south from Pamplona, if you're driving.

Visitor Information -- The tourist office, at Calle Juicio 4 (tel. 94-884-80-58; www.navarra.es or www.tudela.com), is open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 2pm and 4 to 8pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm and 4 to 8pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm. The office closes at 7pm in February and March.
