This offbeat restaurant down a side street in the center of town is casual and slightly edgy. Lunch sees offerings of staple pasta dishes such as pasta al pomodoro or big salads at a really good price, while dinner is more sophisticated—like guinea fowl roasted with beer, pink peppercorns, and rosemary, or gnocchi in an avocado pesto with Sardinian pecorino cheese.  There are also platters of grilled and smoked meats, regional cheeses, and fruits and vegetables, which are all sourced locally. Bread is made fresh daily. The laidback bar sells Piedmont wines, French or Belgian beers, and cocktails, while jazz plays in the background; frequent live music events are held here.
