Casa Turire
This lakefront boutique hotel was built to resemble a majestic old plantation home, complete with a long driveway lined with tall royal palms. Large rooms have painted tiles or varnished wood floors and colonial-style furnishings that evoke a bygone era. Casa Turire was actually built before the nearby hydroelectric dam created Lake Angostura, which now laps gently just below the hotel’s well-tended gardens.
